Every image opened in the multidocument work environment has a title bar.
Some important information is displayed in the title bar:
Current
zoom value
0.728x indicates in this case the current Zoom value. The system keeps
itself calibrated when the zoom changes. By selecting another image, even
with a different zoom value, the system will always remain correctly calibrated.
Current
objective
20x was the objective being used at the moment of saving the image:
it is not the objective currently being
used in the system.
When the symbol ?x is shown,
it means that the image is without any calibration and therefore the system
is using the calibration for the current objective.
If an image is saved with a 30x objective, when it is
reloaded the 30x value will still be displayed in the title bar independently
of the value of the current objective. The calibration of a saved image
has priority over the calibration of the current objective.
Address, name and format of the image
Identification
number
I=001 is the image identification number and is attributed by the system
when the image is loaded.
The identification number is necessary using the filters operating
on pairs of images.
If the computer has enough RAM memory the system can manage up to 499
images open at the same time.
The system requires three times the memory which each single open image requires:
open image (visible);
temporary processing image (hidden);
image for restoring the original image (hidden).
The memory
occupied by an open image depends only on the horizontal and vertical
dimension in pixels and on the color depth. It is independent of the format
(for example, BMP or JPG), which instead affects the stored file.
