X-Pro is a software package supplied with digitizer board for Windows
Vista, XP. It is a powerful instrument for acquiring, archiving, and processing
images with measurement functions for dimensional controls in multidocument
mode.
Image acquisition in multidocument environment with resolution up to 32.000x32.000
pixels, 32-bit color, with digital or analog videocameras.
Wide range of digital videocameras with control interfaces dedicated to
the acquisition of single or sequential images.
Image acquisition with WDM-compatible (Windows Driver Model) videocameras
with all the features offered by DirectX10 and 9 technology: measurements
on the live image (overlay) and/or transparency effects between the live
image and previously acquired images for quantitative and qualitative
visual comparing.
Static and dynamic visual comparing on screen full or split, vertically
or horizontally, with transparency control from the mouse. Interval display
in transparency between the live image and acquired images.
Acquisition with TWAIN videocameras.
Control and acquisition from digital photocameras with dedicated interfaces
and/or with standard PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol).

Measurement Functions
Interactive measurement functions: linear distance, distance from a line,
distances from a line, distances on a line, angle and its complementary,
angle on a vertex, angles
from a vertex, radius and area of circle by 3 points, from the center
and by N points, length of a curve, perimeter and area of a figure, Feret
diameters, section profile, with the possibility of inserting markers
and text for comments directly into the image.
Three types of manual counters (one is a multiple counter with 20 channels)
and a reference scale (which can be inserted into the image) are available.
The system can be calibrated according to every magnification factor and
stored (max. 20 objectives). There is also a dynamic zoom with autocalibration
of the measurement functions. The measurements can be sent automatically
to an Excel spreadsheet.
Database
The software has a powerful relational database developed on Access 2000
- 7.0 allowing images and documents of all kinds to be related to records.
These are made of user-defined fields and can form up to 10 distinct archives.
Each archive can contain an unlimited number of records and related images
and documents. Each record contains data fields, an area for comments,
and can relate an unlimited number of documents and images with local
gallery function. Each archive can be examined and cross-examined to search
for data. The saved images are automatically related to the open database
record.
Dynamic
Gallery
The software has a powerful dynamic gallery displaying (and allowing to
print) sets of thumbnails ranging from 3x2 up to 7x5 for each page.
Images are viewed from the Windows environment folders or from the database
files being used. Viewing can be selected as either 'full’ or ‘search’,
i.e., using all the images contained in the database file or only those
in a certain location of the file.
Image Processing Filters
Complete filter set for image processing.
Set of convolution filters with 3x3 to 9x9 kernels among which are very
powerful filters for image enhancement.
Single or multiple filter use mode. The settings for multiple filter use
can be saved and recalled.
Composition of panoramic images with automatic and manual reconstruction
from a set of single images.
Multifocus and 3D Reconstruction
Multifocus for creating a perfectly in-focus
image from a series of only partially in-focus images .
Automatic alignment of images acquired
with stereo microscopes.
Interactive correction of image alignment.
Three-dimensional reconstruction (surface 3D) from a set of partially in-focus
images.
Display of a surface 3D model from: multifocus image, color and vectorial
scale. Controls for rotation, autorotation, traslation and zoom from mouse
and keyboard.
Saving and loading of 3D models in standard DirectX and saving of the image
in graphic formats.
Custom Reports
Images and data contained in the database can be sent automatically to
several Word templates to generate custom reports (only if Microsoft Office
is installed).
Print Preview
Each image can be viewed, positioned and resized before printing.
On-line Editor
The software can link to an image editor for further processing.
Macro Recording
All X-Series programs come with Macro recording.
Interactive micro Vickers test measurement (optional VICK module for automatic Vickers measurement).
Interactive Brinell test measurement.
